The lead partner, Faculty of Technical Sciences (SER), will contribute to the determination and monitoring of concentration levels of specific pollutants. All water samples acquired both on the territories of Serbia and Croatia will be sent to the laboratory of the Faculty of Technical Sciences for monitoring the landfill and wastewater, in order to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of selected physico-chemical parameters. Additionally, the Faculty project team will devote a great part of its activities to the development and implementation of the wireless sensor system for monitoring of a number of environmental water parameters.
Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology in Osijek (CRO) will establish the automatic sensor network for water quality measurement in habitats under threat of antropogenic pollutants. Among other tasks, the partner will also develop and establish the integration system for data acquisition.
Institute for Nature Conservation of Vojvodina Province (SER) will participate in activities related to determining the needs and opportunities for the establishment of multi-functional vegetation strips for wetland protection, using both the data obtained from monitoring water quality and results of vegetation valorisation as well as the views of interest groups. Results of the analysis of field data will be used as the basis for defining the Guidelines for the establishment and management of bankside vegetation strips in the Pannonian region.
Public Institution for Management of Protected Natural Values of Vukovar-Srijem County (CRO) will work on research activities in monitoring, analysis and protection of wetlands in cooperation with partners in Serbia.
